Bloom Ritual converted beautifully in person but stalled online, where no one can smell a scent before committing to a full bottle. Discovery sets existed but sat in a corner of the catalog, disconnected from the full-size products and with no path to bring a satisfied sampler back. The brand was paying to acquire visitors and then asking them to gamble.
Our role
We designed a sampling funnel as the front door: a low-friction discovery set as the primary call to action, each sample linked to its full-size counterpart, and a credit that returns the sample cost when a shopper upgrades. A scent-profile quiz routes newcomers to the samples most likely to land, and a follow-up flow nudges the conversion.

Result
Turning the sample into a deliberate first step — with a built-in reason to come back — reframed the whole purchase. Sample buyers returned to buy full bottles at a healthy rate, the sample credit removed the last hesitation, and overall conversion rose 17% while paid acquisition worked harder per visitor.
