Blockhaus

Designer Toys

A blind-box art-toy label built for collectors who chase the rare chase — and a drop mechanic engineered to feel fair, not rigged.

Challenge

Blockhaus dropped limited vinyl figures in blind boxes, but the store treated each release like an ordinary product page. Collectors could not see rarity tiers, pull odds, or which chase figure they were hunting, so trust leaked and carts stayed small. Worse, drops arrived with no pacing — everything went live at once, the queue buckled, and the secondhand market did the storytelling the brand should have owned.

Our role

We rebuilt Blockhaus around the psychology of the chase: transparent odds, tiered rarity, and a drop moment the site could actually withstand. Metaobjects modelled each series and figure so a single release could show its full set, its ratios, and its already-pulled inventory in real time.

Result

Published pull odds and a set-completion tracker turned single-box buyers into series collectors, and multi-box carts became the norm rather than the exception. Revenue per visit reached 2.2× the old baseline within two drop cycles, and the launch queue absorbed peak load without a single timeout.
