Build-it-yourself robotics and construction kits — sold to careful parents who need to know exactly what they are buying.
STEM toys / parent-trust UX / conversion design
Challenge
Tinker Troop kits are genuinely good, but the product pages read like spec sheets. Parents landed with the questions that actually block a purchase — the right age, real safety credentials, how much adult help it needs, what learning it delivers — and found none of them answered above the fold. Hesitation showed up as long dwell times and abandoned carts, especially on higher-priced sets.
Our role
We restructured the product page around a parent's decision, not the product's feature list. Age fit, skill level, assembly time, and curriculum links now lead, backed by short demo clips and plain-language safety and materials detail. A guided finder helps parents match a kit to a child's age and interest in three taps.

Result
Putting the reassurance where the doubt lived shortened the path from interest to checkout. Product-page conversion rose 24%, returns for wrong-age purchases fell as parents self-selected the right kit, and the guided finder became the highest-converting entry point on the site.
